What time does a New Year’s Eve boat party start and finish?
The big operators advertise almost the same program. Boarding is around 21:00, dinner and drinks come first, the countdown is at 00:00, and the boat is back at the pier between 01:00 and 02:00. Some also pick guests up from the hotel between 19:00 and 20:00. Times change by boat and by year, so check your ticket.
How much does a new year boat party Istanbul ticket cost?
In October 2026, public dinner and party cruises on the Bosphorus were listed from about €170 to €350 per person. The price depends on the package:

What is included in the ticket?
Most cruises sold as a new year boat party Istanbul night include:

Hotel transfers are included on some boats only. Ask before you pay.
What is not included?
Imported or premium drinks are usually extra, and so are tips. Bring a little cash. Extra food is paid on board.
What entertainment is there?
Expect a DJ and a countdown. Dinner cruises often add folk dances, belly dancers and a whirling dervish show. A party boat puts the DJ first, so you can dance.
Will you see the fireworks from the boat?
Yes, that is the main reason people book. Fireworks light up the Bosphorus at midnight, and the boat sails so you can watch them from the water. Daily Sabah says people also gather in Ortaköy to watch the display over the Bosphorus, and that boat tours combine dinner, entertainment and views of the fireworks over Dolmabahçe Palace. From the water you also see Ortaköy Mosque and the bridges lit up, with no crowd in your way.
What should you wear?
Smart casual is the safe choice. Many dinner cruises ask for elegant clothes. On a party boat you can dress up, but keep your shoes comfortable. The weather is cold: in December the average high is 10.7 °C and the average low is 5.5 °C, and snow falls from time to time, according to Wikipedia. Bring a warm coat for the open deck. The indoor hall is heated on many boats.
Where do you sit?
On dinner cruises you get a reserved table, and in most cases you share it with other small groups. Some boats do not offer private tables on New Year’s Eve, but friends who book together sit together. On a party boat most people stand and move around.
Who can come: solo guests, couples and children?
Solo guests are welcome, and the crowd is international. Bring your passport or ID. Dinner cruises often take children with an adult at a child price, but a party boat is for adults, and ours is 18+.
How do you get there and home?
Daily Sabah warns about crowds and traffic on New Year’s Eve and tells people to leave early if they drive. Arrive early, save your hotel address on your phone, and order your ride home before midnight rush. If your boat offers hotel transfer, confirm the pick-up window.
